Coupled for the first time by sheer coincidence, Laurel and Hardy's partnership at the Hal Roach studio began in 1926. Within a year of their first joint appearance, they were being touted as the new comedy team. After collaborating on many silent films, they took the transition to the talking film in stride. As their success spread throughout the world, they began making feature films as well and even won an Oscar for their short subject entitled "The Music Box" (1932). The boys defined comedy in the early days of cinema, and now you can rejoice in all the hilarious hijinx with this audio CD "Laurel & Hardy Rarities & Shorts... the CD!" "Laurel & Hardy Rarities & Shorts... the CD!" features 9 compiled tracks of extremely rare and hard to find Laurel & Hardy treats that average out to 51 minutes and 46 seconds of Stan and Olly at their funniest! Check out some of the RARE and impossible to find audio tidbits included:

"A Haunting We Will Go" Ameridisc Soundtrack transfer from 33 & 1/3 rpm rubber record.
In 1942 Stan and Oliver starred in "A Haunted We Will Go" alongside Dante the Magician (Harry A. Jansen). On the run from the law once again, Laurel and Hardy team up with a friendly magician and do battle with ubiquitous gangsters. In 1965 Americom released "A Haunting We Will Go" on 8 mm film. Along with the film which you played on your projector, a 33 & 1/3 rpm rubber record came with the film containing the audio. The idea was to play them both at the same time for video and audio, although they never quite synced up! This rare audio has long since been impossible to find! Now, you can hear that long lost audio on CD transfered from an original 1965 Ameridisc Sountrack 33 & 1/3 rubber record of "A Haunting We Will Go"! The track even begins with the alert to start the projector at the tone! Complete with the original sounds of record scratches in all it's vintage authenticity, listen to the entire audio from the classic L&H "A Haunting We Will Go"! Incredibly RARE! You can't miss this audio treat!
Rare 1932 Laurel & Hardy British Record.
A rare recording of Oliver Hardy giving a thank you speech for their warm reception to the British Isles. After their first trip to the British Isles, Laurel & Hardy recorded a special album thanking the public for the huge welcome they received. Hilarity insues when Stan continuously interrupts Olly during his speech. This thank you speech soon turns into a 6 minute and 50 second comedy skit!
This rare speech (AKA skit) is a TWO parter, ending with a dance version of their theme song "The Dance of the Cuckoos"!!
Instrumental Music from "Pardon Us", 1931.
(Features clip of the famous dialogue "Here's another nice mess you've gotten me into...")
Rare Instrumental Music from Laurel & Hardy Shorts!
"The Laurel & Hardy Radio Show: Mr. Slater's Poultry Market"
Presented by the National Broadcasting Company! Featuring PSAs (AKA propaganda) for taking the pledge against the Black Market during the war, this 26 minute radio show features Laurel & Hardy in a very rare radio appearance. The show was recorded during the war, and the plot of the show centers around the boys doing their bit to relieve the man power shortage by working for 'Mr. Slater's Poultry Market'. During the scheme of things, Stan and Olly come across a group of gangsters, who mistake Laurel & Hardy for the two gents who 'rubbed out' one of their fellow criminals. Thinking Laurel & Hardy are two tough cookies, the gangsters welcome the boys into their abode, while Babe & Stan think they're just delivering a serving of poultry!
Rare Instrumental Music from Laurel & Hardy Shorts!
"Trail Of The Lonesome Pine"
Sung by Oliver Hardy with accompanying vocals by Stan! Yes, the boys raise their voices in song together! A rare but classically hysterical number!
"Honolulu Baby"
Sung by Oliver Hardy once again! Very rare!
"Shine On Harvest Moon"
Sung by Oliver Hardy from the film "The Flying Deuces"! If you listen very carefully you can hear the stomps of Stan dancing in the background.. later to be joined by Olly as both the boys hoof a special dance to this little ditty!
